Introduction of Oversea Chinese Students Center

Asia University (AU) aims to raise its profile as a prestigious international university. In response to recent trends in the globalization of higher education, AU started recruiting international students and overseas Chinese students in 2004. As of August 2013, AU had admitted more than 200 international students and more than 200 overseas Chinese students from 17 countries such as Indonesia, Mongolia, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Turkey, Chile, The Philippines, Colombia, Saint Vincent, Japan, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Malawi, Slovakia and Zimbabwe.

In order to better serve and care for its growing number of overseas Chinese students, AU established the Center of Oversea Chinese Students in 2015. This new center aims to provide a friendly living and learning environment and to better coordinate and integrate in-campus teaching and research resources for our overseas Chinese students. Moreover, the school has improved interaction between domestic and overseas Chinese students, which they expect will promote the internationalization of the domestic students and increase the school’s international recognition.
